Claudia Kanzler Rachel Flowers is simply amazing! And this song is just what the doctor ordered. I have not yet been familiar with Daniel Nordin, who wrote the original song, then reimagined as he puts it, by Rachel, who added her own musical ideas. As soon as i heard it it was clear to me that this is my 2022 Xmas Greeting. Maybe we should all depend less on our eyesight and follow more our hearts. (Both artists are blind, usually i do not mention, as it shouldn't matter, but here it makes sense).

about

In Daniel's words "Back in 2016, I wrote a song called Brand New World, a song about world peace. Around that time, I became friends with another blind musician from California named Rachel Flowers. She liked the song so much, that when the pandemic hit, she personally asked me to do her own reimagining of my song by adding some of her own lyrics and musical ideas."

We submitted the song to the We're With U! concert to benefit the blind of Ukraine. That online benefit concert went on to raise over $100,000! Since Daniel and Rachel are both blind artists, they are very proud to have been part of that amazing effort!

In releasing the song now to the general public, they hope to continue to spread their message of peace to the world.

Happy Holidays!

lyrics

Ever since I was just a child
I put my head to the clouds and smile
Birds would be sitting in the trees
And every day they sing to me

Now I know my childhoods through
I see the world from a different view
Some happy, some sad, some good, some bad
But I know we can make it right
If you listen tonight

(Listen)
The writing is clearly written on the wall
(We need to clean up this mess)
For so long it seems we've always been at war
(It's time we start making sense)
Why is this world full of lies and hate?
(Won't you tell me)
All that I know is something's got to give

Before it's to late to
Love one another
Learn from one another
Understand one another
Care for one another
In the end you will find people will smile
We're building a brand new world

If we can turn peace into reality
(The past will be left behind)
The lost will be found into another world
Where evil has gone away
What will it take to show that there's another way
I know in time we'll learn to make a change

Before it's to late to
Love one another
Learn from one another
Understand one another
Care for one another
In the end you will find people will smile
We're building a brand new world

(Learn from one another)
Understand one another
Care for one another
In the end you will find people will smile
We're building a brand new world

(Love one another)
(Learn from one another)
(Understand one another)
(Care for one another)
In the end you will find people will smile
We are building a brand new world

(Love one another)
(Learn from one another)
Understand
(Understand one another)
(Care for one another)
In the end you will find people will smile
We are building a brand new world

A brand new world
Building a brand new world
A brand new world
(Yes we need it)
We need it
(We can make it better)
(Yes we need it)
We need it
(We can make it better)
Make it better
(Yes we need it)
We need it
(We can make it better)
Make it better
(Yes we need it)
Woah ohh
(We can make it better)
Better
(Yes we need it)
Better
(We can make it better)
Better
(Yes we need it)
Hey
(We can make it better)
From our mothers and fathers
(Yes we need it)
From our sisters and brothers
(We can make it better)
From our children's children
(Yes we need it)
A way to the future
(We can make it better)
From every mountain top
(Yes we need it)
From sea to shining sea
(We can make it better)
(Yes we need it)
(We can make it better)
