Nickie Harte Kelly Here Rachel showcases not only her stellar keyboard skills, but she also plays every instrument and we are treated to her lovely voice. Progressive rock and jazz, for the most part, with some classical and pop thrown in for good measure. With truly biting lyrics in This is the Way I Am, modern despair in the tune Too Much and hope for the future with Feel, Rachel also really stretches out in the longer, proggier pieces. Favorite track: Too Much.

John Woodward I've too long taken Rachel Flowers for the girl who plays ELP and GG pretty good for a blind person. This album will change my attitude for good. She plays all the instruments and since it's obvious that her keyboard playing is stellar, it's time to concentrate on other things. Wow! Guitar! Vocals! Compositions! What a great album!

Tenk Van Dool Awesome album Rachel. You really hit it out of the park with this one. A B gets the adrenaline going right out of the gate, and you vocal harmonizing is excellent. Favorite track: A B.

warrenweiss This is an extraordinary eclectic collection of finely crafted songs. I am mostly a hard core fan of 70's prog , Baroque and Bebop leaning mostly towards John Coletrain So I love the way you move in and out of different styles creating your own collage. You are a brilliant musician!!

Cheers,
Warren

Take Me Away 11:47
Take me away To a place far from here Away from distraction and fear Waiting to hear The sound of a waterfall Into a dream Take me away To a world so serene Where everything else disappears Flowers and songs Share the same melody Always the same Take me away To a magical dream Where time doesn't fade away Wanting to know Whatever's ahead of me Take me away I walking somewhere but don't know which way to go I'm kind of lost and I'm hoping you would know (Looking for directions) I ask around and what they say makes no sense Do I go left or right instead of just this way? (Looking for directions) There's so many twists and turns This destination may take some time So many voices but don't know which one to hear So many rhythms taking place all at once (Looking for directions) There's lots of rooms that I can find any time Now this place is getting clear in my mind (Looking for directions) There's so many ways to go This destination may take some time I'm getting closer to the top of the stairs and now this place is even clearer than before (Looking for directions) I'm finally here and know exactly where to go This is the place I've always wanted to know (I've always wanted to know) (I've always wanted to know

Too Much 07:47
Why am I here? I'm standing all alone Out in the street The sound of traffic rolls along I'll never face This post-apocalyptic world With fear all around Can someone help me out of here? From this place of gloom This place of gloom It's too much for me to take It's too much for me to take It's too much for me to take It's too much for me to take Driving in my car I'm searching for a loving friend Please take me far away (Far away) I'm lost in a desperation For dreams of hope Dreams of hope It's too much for me to take It's too much for me to take It's too much for me to take It's too much for me to take Then I hear your voice Out in the distance Don't ever fear For I will save you from this place It's too much for me to take It's too much for me to take It's too much for me to take It's too much for me to take It's too much for me to take It's too much for me to take It's too much for me to take It's too much for me, for me to take It's too much for me to take It's too much for me to take It's too much (It's too much for me to take) (It's too much for me to take) (It's too much for me to take) (It's too much for me to take) (It's too much for me to take) (It's too much for me to take) (It's too much for me to take) (It's too much for me to take) Too much for me It's too much for me to take (To take) (To take) (To take) (To take)

Love Today 04:40
Somebody told me, you have to find a way To be informed every day About all the things going all around But they bring me down Some information doesn't make any sense What can I say? It's a crazy world And it sure feels different today What can I say? Well, I had heard the prices going up in things Some people only think of greed I don't want to hear about them any more Because I know But I have something that's always free And it's all for you and me For anyone who wants to be sure They will see When I hear you crying to me at night I put my arms around you When I'm alone and I can't make it right I feel your presence all around You know that you have brought back love today You know that you have brought back love today Sometimes it feels like no one really listens They go too far To bring more confusion It's just getting old It feels so cold I hear the waves washing on the pier I don't have any fear The sand's warm softness makes me smile And with style The lovely sun plays a pretty melody I'd wish you'll hear it with me 'Cause it's everything nature does for me You will see When I hear you crying to me at night I put my arms around you When I'm alone and I can't make it right I feel your presence all around You know that you have brought back love today You know that you have brought back love today

Lately I've tried to reconcile Things you did when I was a child Hurtful words that you said to me Would you say them if I could see? Do you think that because I'm blind You can magically read my mind? Sent to help me, but made me cry I'm not stupid, I'm just extremely shy You don't care when you say things that hurt me I was there, so don't try to convert me I was angry with no way to show it You were blind but you just didn't know it I hear voices and whispering Don't you know that I'm listening Unkind words that you know I hear 'Cause there's nothing wrong with my ears All your taunting and bullying Makes you weaker, not threatening I can't see, but your soul is black It's the void from the conscience that you lack I don't care what you say, you don't know me There's no way that you'll ever control me I've got love in my heart to console me Epic fail, you will not pigeonhole me I don't care what you say, you can't hurt me I have friends that will never desert me I have joy and you can't make me lose it I have love, I have life, I have music

The Darkness 10:03
I've walked through years and many miles away Taking time away With nothing rushing me today But with the darkness interfering me I am hearing things That's making me feel lots of fear I'm running faster as I leave this place Always on a race With only one real goal in mind The rumble of these massive thunder clouds Coming all around But now I think of what I just found Now the sun is always shining in its place No more darkness or destruction out in space For a while I've been searching for this place And things are very clear The world is turning with winds of change The world is speaking of winds of change This place is moving to rearrange again But the darkness always comes back again Some speak of problems never solved And you'll wonder where they'll go And some people speak their minds Just thinking what they know Now the sun is always shining in its place No more darkness or destruction out in space For a while I've been searching for this place And things are very clear The world is turning with winds of change The world is speaking of winds of change This place is moving to rearrange again Rearrange again But the darkness always comes back again The world is turning with winds of change The world is speaking of winds of change The world is turning with winds of change The world is speaking of winds of change The world is turning with winds of change The world is speaking of winds of change The world is turning with winds of change The world is speaking of winds of change The world is turning with winds of change The world is speaking of winds of change This place is moving to rearrange again

Feel 11:56
I feel like I could fly Reaching for the sky I dream that I could sing Almost anything As I am flying on a plane The ground seems so far away The world is passing by so fast I hope that the landing is safe I feel like I could fly Reaching for the sky
8.
I want to talk to you, but shyness is in your face You write the words, but no explanation is in its place When will you open up and show me what you see? When will I go into your world so I can be with you? Let me be the one to cheer you up Let me be the one to sing your song You walk into the room, hopelessness fills your eyes You read the tragedies and see the damage in their lives You say the world is ending, but only in the shattered places Very little of the truth is written in the papers You say no one cares, but I care about you You say no one feels your anger, but I feel it too My heart can sense it strongly, and the tears in my eyes Represent the loneliness you feel I'll sing to you a beautiful dream Where you feel hope and peace I'll send you a heavenly choir To show you the gifts of love I'll sing to you a beautiful dream Where you feel joy and happiness Then you can wake up to a brighter world tomorrow I'll sing to you a beautiful dream Where you feel hope and peace I'll send you a heavenly choir To show you the gifts of love I'll sing to you a beautiful dream Where you feel joy and happiness Then you can wake up to a brighter world tomorrow Tomorrow

With You 06:21
Just like the morning sun is rising The sun will shine when I'm with you And if all the morning birds are singing Their songs are clear when I'm with you And when I'm shaking from the wind You bring me gloves to warm my hands When I'm with you I never feel alone You're always there to shelter me from the storm When I'm with you I know that I'm alive My hope is strong and it gives me a smile And it's all from the time I spent with you Just like the rhythms of a waterfall Its rhythms are strong when I'm with you And if my emotions take over from talking You're able to see them through and through And if I lose my direction You will give it back to me When I'm with you I never feel alone You're always there to shelter me from the storm When I'm with you I know that I'm alive My hope is strong and it gives me a smile And it's all from the time I spend with you When I'm with you I never feel alone You're always there to shelter me from the storm When I'm with you I know that I'm alive My hope is strong and it gives me a smile, smile, a smile And it's all from the time I spend with you I spend with you

about

California artist Rachel Flowers demonstrates with her third solo album that she truly is, as the title suggests, "Bigger on the Inside." As a composer, Rachel seamlessly weaves together elements of progressive rock, jazz, classical, and pop music with cinematic orchestrations, soaring melodies, and virtuosic playing. Top this off with Rachel's 3 1/2 octave vocal range and her uncanny ability to explore universal themes ranging from love, joy, and hope to depression, bullying, and fear of an uncertain future with sensitivity and optimism, and you have an album that is destined to stand the test of time.
